OPTIONS FOR ACCOMMODATIONS
There are a number of options for where to stay and we hope everyone's needs can be accommodated. Please also feel free to ask us if you have questions.
For those who prefer to stay in a hotel off site, there are many options in one of the nearby towns listed below.
An important note if you will be in a hotel: all hotels are 25+ minutes away, so if you plan to have a few drinks at the wedding then you will need transportation. We plan to provide a shuttle to and from Salmon Arm on the wedding day at a couple of set times. Taxis may also be an option, though that may be costly. Here are a few of hotels to get you started:
-
Salmon Arm. 25 minutes away. The following are the top rated hotels on Trip Advisor and will be the likely shuttle stops on the wedding day:
-
Prestige Harbourfront Resort. This is in a lovely location and we have a block of 15 rooms being held. They will go fast so if this is your preferred option, book soon. The rates range from $190 - $220/night - say you are with the Haines/Sutcliffe wedding. https://www.prestigehotelsandresorts.com/locations/salmon-arm/overview/
-
Comfort Inn. Rooms start at $190/night. https://www.comfortinnsalmonarm.com/en-us
- Best Western Salmon Arm Inn. Rooms start at $185/night.https://www.bestwestern.com/en_US/book/hotels-in-salmon-arm/best-western-salmon-arm-inn/propertyCode.62115.html\

-
Vernon. 30 minutes away. If you are staying in Vernon you will likely need to find your own transportation to the wedding venue. There are many good hotels, including:
-
The Castle at Swan Lake. This hotel is highly rated on trip advisor and has the added advantage of being on the close end of town to the wedding venue, shaving about 10 minutes off the drive. If booking early rates range from $125 - $175/night. https://www.swanlakecastle.com/
-
The Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott. Located on the closer end of town, rooms starting at $175/night and up. https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/yvefi-fairfield-inn-and-suites-vernon/

For those who want to stay on site (which we encourage for those who are able), the onsite campground accommodates various options. We have covered all fees so camping is free for the wedding weekend (Thursday-Monday), and extra days can be purchased if you want to make a longer trip out of it. The onsite camping options are as follows:
-
Bring your own tent and feel free to find a spot to pitch it for as long as you want to stay! There will be many amenities to make your camping experience a comfortable one including washrooms, showers, bbqs, propane fire pits and many common areas.
-
Bring your own RV. There are no hookups but generators are allowed. There will be some "off" times but lots of time to stay charged.
-
Rent an RV trailer and have it dropped off at the ranch and set up for you (and picked up at the end of the weekend). Prices range from $85 - $190/day depending on size and number of beds (sleep 2-10), with delivery/set up/pick up service is a $215 flat fee (this may have changed). Some companies have a 2-3 day minimum rental. Here are a few local companies in the area that serve weddings at the Shylynn Ranch:
-
RVAdventurez: (800) 462-9958
-
Little RV Rentals: 1 (250) 819 2887
-
New Horizons RV: 1. 250.545.3238
-
We have contacts for more rental companies which will be added here as needed so check back or contact us if these providers don't have what you need. There are also a few great bolers for rent in the area as well. If this interests you let us know and we'll give you some more info.
-
*IMPORTANT NOTE re RV rentals, if an RV is your preferred choice, please only rent a size that you need, e.g. don't rent a 10 person 5th wheel if there are only two of you. Or, share an RV with friends or family. Space on site is limited and we want to fit everyone in! There is a big crowd and though we hope to accommodate everyone who wants to be onsite, if it books up space on the campground will be first come first through RSVPs.
We are happy to help with more info on accommodation options for anyone who needs it!
